Eric Carle Author Study

This week we began our Eric Carle Author Study. We began by unwrapping the gift that was Eric Carle's books. It was very exciting, we can't wait to read all of those awesome books.

Readers to Leaders

Today we celebrated Readers to Leaders with Reading Picture Bingo with Mrs.  Phillips,  a great day was had by all!

The 100th Day of School!

Today is the 100th day of school.  We are celebrating by sharing our homework which was to create something to wear that has 100 items on it.  We have participated in lots of other activities such as reading 100 books, making a 100 day snack and making 100 day hats.  We have had a great day!  

Happy Birthday Chets Creek!

On Friday we celebrated Chets Creek's 16th birthday! Mrs. Phillips came to our room and we sang Happy Birthday together. She also gave each student a special happy birthday pencil. It was a great day.

Field Trip to the JCA

We went to the JCA to see a play about Amelia Bedelia.  Several of our students were invited to participate on stage.  It was a great time!  

Partner Reading

One of the many ways we work on building our Reading Strategies is to practice using the strategies with a partner. Today we chose our own partners and shared our knowledge.
